Residential Services
Initial Service:
The initial service is quite possibly
the most crucial treatment in successfully eliminating
those unwanted pests around your home. Our goal during
this treatment is to flush out and eliminate pests from
their hiding places in or near your home. Areas such as
cracks, crevices, weepholes, landscaping near the home,
under rocks, under eaves, and along the foundation or
under crawlspaces are all places bugs prefer for
harboraging. We will also treat the interior baseboards
of your home along with the garage, attic, and the
plumbing pipes under the sinks. So, after this initial
treatment you may actually experience an increase in
pest activity for a few days, but be assured anything
you see scurrying around is about to run out of gas.
Food sources for predator insects such as scorpions,
spiders, and centipedes will begin to be repelled from
the home starting with this phase which will greatly
reduce the activity in and around the house. This also
helps future recurring treatments by greatly minimizing
any additional infestations that can occur.
The 30 Day Treatment
After your initial flush out
treatment, we will typically return to treat your home
within 30 days to start your regular treatment schedule.
This treatment is extremely important because it starts
to break down the life cycle of the bugs and their food
sources and slows their ability to reproduce. Another
big reason this treatment is important is that it takes
care of any unhatched eggs that may have not been
affected on the initial treatment which will prevent any
additional infestation from occurring. At this point we
will be able to evaluate the situation and recommend a
recurring service schedule based on the individual needs
of each customer.
Regular Scheduled Treatments
Now that you have had the initial
treatment and the 30 day treatment, your home will be
pest free in no time! Depending on the treatment program
you selected (Monthly, Bi-Monthly, or Quarterly), from
here on out when scheduling your regular treatments we
will contact you 5-10 days in advance to schedule a
treatment around your home. On the day of your treatment
feel free to carry on with your everyday activities. In
fact, if something comes up and can’t be home, no
problem! Our technician will apply the main exterior
treatment and leave the service ticket on your door. If
you would like us to treat the interior at a later date,
just call and schedule an appointment and one of us will
be happy to provide the service at no additional charge.
Pickett's Pest Control Guarantee
Its important to understand that even
after the first steps to obtaining a pest free home,
some pests are much more stubborn and difficult to get
rid of! Not all bugs are the same and they react
differently to different treatments and products. We are
experienced certified technicians with the tools and the
experience to get to the bottom of the issue and focus
on these pests! Our promise to you is that we will do
whatever it takes to get rid of the bugs around your
home and will come out as many times as necessary to
make sure that happens. If in between your regular
scheduled treatments you need additional services, give
us a call and we’ll return to treat your home free of
charge!
Residential Termites
In our experience, there are two
kinds of homes in Central Texas, those with termites,
and those that will have termites.
Inspection
If
you suspect Termite activity around your home you don’t
want to postpone treatment! Give us a call and we will
come out to inspect your home for any visible termite
activity or damage to your home. If you do in fact have
termites, we can give you a bid for various options
within 24 hours of inspection. If you don’t have
termites, we will provide you with information that
outlines what areas of the home are conducive to
termites and steps that can be taken to mitigate the
issues. Pretreatment is often a viable and less
expensive option to the alternative of post damage
treatment and repair.
Treatment
After accepting the bid for a termite
treatment, we will schedule a day for a Termite
technician to provide the treatment. Depending on type
of construction, area of crawlspace or the linear feet
of the exterior of the home, it could take several hours
to a full day to complete the treatment. If you are
shopping for termite treatment, one thing to note is we
use the most effective Termite product currently in the
industry called Termidor to take care of the termites.
There are many other products out there but only
Termidor has been tested by TAMU and proven to be
effective for up to 10 years!
Service renewal
Once a structure has been treated for
subterranean termites, It is recommended that homeowners
have their homes inspected for termites once a year.
With a service renewal agreement we will inspect the
home yearly for a reasonable price and if any termites
have the nerve to return we will send them packing at no
additional charge…potentially saving you thousands of
dollars! We stand by our work and are confident enough
in the products we use to offer this guarantee to our
customers. If you have any questions or would like to
learn more about protecting your home from termites,
please don’t hesitate to contact us.
